Hamazume Beach
There is a handmade wooden beach swing ‘Yurari’ on Hamazume which is a very popular photo spot. It takes about 10 minutes on foot, so please take a visit while enjoying a walk on a sunny day. The contrast of the white beach, blue sea and blue sky is very beautiful.
Kotobiki-hama Beach
Kotobiki-hama is in Amino-cho, Kyotango-shi facing the Japan sea, in the northern part of Kyoto.
It is about 1.8 km long and is famous for ‘Naki-suna (Singing sand)’. Enjoy the peace and tranquility on the beach with white sand and blue pine which is located in the western part of the Tango peninsula.
Cape Kyoga-misaki
Cape Kyoga-misaki is located in the tip of the Tango peninsula, the northernmost point of Kinki region. It is a little-known scenic spot which has been selected as ‘one of the top hundred in Kyoto’ for tourists, couples and photographers.
Kabutoyama Observatory
You can see very beautiful scenery from Kabutoyama Observatory which is in Kumihama-cho, Kyotango-shi, Kyoto. The scenery which shows the cultivation of oysters, a specialty of Kumihama, lining up on the water surface, is a winter feature of Kumihama Bay.
Hanago OKADA
Hokki Farm of Kaikatei group manages ‘Hanago OKADA’. It is more than 5 times as wide as the ground of Koshien Stadium! It is a spacious flower park in Amino-cho, Kyotango-shi, where you can enjoy the beautiful open-scenery. (From the middle of April)
Kinosaki Marine World
Kinosaki Marine World is in Kinosaki.
It is an aquarium where you can not only see cute dolphins and a sea lion show, but also experience playing on rocky shores, interacting with dolphins and much more. You can eat Tempura made from the Japanese horse mackerel that you catch right there in the fishing pond.

The Ine no Funaya Houses
The Ine no Funaya Houses are very famous sightseeing spots all over the country. These are built on the shore across the road from the main houses. There is a boat lift yard, storage and working space on the 1st floor and it is used for various purposes, such as preparation to go fishing, maintaining fishing gear, drying fish, storing agricultural products etc.
